How in the world do you know when you should offer an eBook, a Masterclass, or an eCourse for your audience?

Many of you have asked how you should use your information and package it into a digital product but you don't quite know where to start or which product to create.

Now my answer is always to create as much as you want and let your audience determine what they want but that can still be a little overwhelming.

I like to take one idea and turn it into 3-4 products.

For example:

The main idea is How To Write An eBook.

My 4 products would be:

Freebie- The Top Mistakes Most New Writers Make With eBooks. (this would be a livestream or a checklist)

eBook- How To Write Your eBook in 7 Steps

Masterclass- How To Write Your eBook

eCourse- Books That Bank.

Now you may be asking what exactly is the difference between each one, they seem pretty similar.

They are, but each product offers a different form of content.

The first phase is to offer an eBook.

EBooks are focused on a set of steps and are created to give out specific information. The price range is normally from $7-$47 depending on your audience and how detailed your eBook ends up being. The sweet spot for most eBooks is between 10-100 pages and it has a set outcome.

For this example, the eBook How To Write Your eBook in 7 Steps goes through 7 actionable steps that will help a new writer finish their eBook. It's meant to be simple, to the point and the customer can do these tasks at their own pace.

The second phase would be to offer the Masterclass.

A Masterclass is normally an hour to two hours and can be priced $47- $197. Masterclasses are meant to show your audience how to execute the steps. So I can take the steps from the ebook and put them into action.

For example, the first step is to do your research. In the eBook, I provide a list of places to check out to research the content. In the Masterclass, I break each site down into more detail and give them tips on how to use each site the best as well as how I use it in my own business. With a live Masterclass there is also an opportunity to learn with you live and ask any followup questions.

The third phase would be to offer an eCourse.

My Books That Bank course takes the best of both worlds and breaks it down even further. eCourses are meant to meet your client wherever they are, so whether they are new or advanced their should be something for everyone. They are priced between $197- $1997 and this price will vary based on your audience.

eCourses can be done live as a group or you can create self paced courses and offer a community where your audience will still be able to ask questions as they go along in the program. Some add in Live Q&A sessions as well so that your audience is able to complete the information at their own pace but you are still available on a weekly or monthly basis.

The community aspect helps your audience continue to learn with you and will build connections that lead to them getting great results and possibly purchasing other products.

Alright, every main topic I want to teach has this same breakdown, so I'm able to reach my audience on different levels and have a full product catalog.

What's up people!

Spring is right around the corner so today's Bank Notes will give you 4 ways to spring clean your brand for a successful new season. 

As we know time flies, so preparation is key to make sure our brands continue to grow and thrive.

So, how do we get ready for a new quarter? 

Read on.

1. Review Quarter 1.

Every 3 months review your products, processes, and profits.

All of these will push your business, so check which products have sold the best, and which have sold the worst.

How can you boost your best sellers and is it time to let go of the ones that aren't selling?

What processes or systems are helping your business and which ones could be hurting it? 

For example, do you have an unused mailing list, are you paying for software that doesn't work the way you expected, or is there a break in your customer service flow?

Do you need to take more time to learn how to use them or is it time to cancel them?

Profits are important because you don't want to be putting more into your business than you're getting out, so record all of the sales you've made and check it against all of your taxes, software, fees, etc. 

Are you seeing a true profit? 

What can be increased or decreased? 

Have you reviewed your prices recently?

2. Clean out inboxes, subscriptions, memberships and subscribers.

It's easy to get overwhelmed with freebies and discounts, so go through your inbox and do some unsubscribing. 

Your notifications will thank you and so will the person sending you the emails you're not opening. 

Anything that doesn't motivate or move you to action, let it go. 

For your mailing list, clean out any old bounced, complained, or cold subscribers. 

Quality over Quantity, and you only want to pay for the subscribers you are showing interest in your content.

How are you attracting new people to your list? What's your current freebie and how is it converting?

Do you have a tripwire for it?

How about memberships? Are you paying for things you aren't using?

3. Organize and update your office space.

Moving my desk last year was the exact spark I needed to refocus my creativity (though now I'm ready to move it again, plus I'm itching to knock down the wall between my office and my shipping room.) 

Working from home means you will spend a great deal of time in your home office, so why not give it a quick makeover. 

You can move your desk so that you're facing a new direction, update your wall art, get some new desk accessories or maybe a new office chair. ( I love any reason to visit Office Depot, Target or Hobby Lobby :))

Your space should be a happy one, so make it reflective of your goals and who you are. 

4. Marketing, marketing, marketing!

How are you getting your content out to your audience? 

Are you using videos or Livestreams? 

How about Instagram Stories?

Have you started using ads to promote?

What have you invested?

We can't expect our audience to just happen across our content and offers so take some time to create the best marketing strategy you can.

My First $14,000 In Sales in 2018.

Can you believe it’s already the end of the first week of 2018? I have a good feeling that things are going to move quickly this year and I’ve ready for it.

What have you done this week?

Did you take some time to reflect on last year, maybe you got some rest, or did you hit the ground running for the new year?

I was the last and this morning I’m grinning pretty happy about the plans I made for this year.

Now, I debated about the title for this email because I didn’t want to sound like I was bragging but at the same time I wanted to share I hit my first goal of the year.

This is going to be my million dollar year and that means going hard with a plan to get there. I don’t want to make it alone so sharing the strategies and successes are part of the process.

I was also reminded of my keys to making over $700,000 last year which was to have money talks. Too many of us are afraid to talk about the money which is why many of us develop fears and limitations around what we can have and achieve. Alright so on to the Strategy.

Step #1- Ask yourself 3 questions.

What do they need?

What do I offer?

What’s the desired outcome?

At the beginning of the year, many people are in resolution mode.

They want to start businesses, start eating healthier, start saving money, take better care of their skin, dress better, grow their hair out, etc.

Where does this renewal fit into your business?

I teach entrepreneurs how to create connections with their communities, build, information/digital products, and increase their income through marketing strategies.

My clients or potential clients need help with all of these areas.

I offer eBooks, webinars, Masterclasses, Membership, and more to fit those needs.

The desired results are for them to understand and be able to execute social media strategies, understand and gain the knowledge to create sales funnels, they want to see increased engagement and increased sales from their social media.

Step #2- Determine which products will help your clients get the desired results.

For me, the top 5 products that have sold this year are:

1. The Business: Unlocked Bundle has sold 164 courses at $47 and made $7708.00

2. The Ultimate Guide to Instagram 2.0 has sold 17 eBooks and made $459.00

3. The Ultimate Business Plan for Creatives has sold 18 eBooks and made $360.00

4. $700K in 2017 eBook has sold 118 eBooks and made $2,124.00

I’ve had a few other products that have a few sales, but just these five have brought in $12,588.28.

Not bad for the first 4 days of the year.


Focusing on the products may leave a potential customer unclear on what they will achieve.  

By focusing on the solution once your client connects to what they want to achieve, the product becomes their key to getting what they want, and the sale becomes so much easier.

Offer the solutions every day and watch your audience flock to your products!
